HOUSTON – The Steering Committee today announced that Fleet Week Houston, a planned celebration of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard, is being rescheduled to 2026. The reschedule decision was made in close coordination with U.S. Navy leadership as the government shutdown presented significant challenges in executing the original Fleet Week Houston dates of Nov. 5-12,2025.

“It’s disappointing that Fleet Week Houston had to be rescheduled because of the government shutdown,” said Mayor John Whitmire. “I want the city’s first fleet week to be an exceptional experience for everyone. The date changes help to ensure we have the time and resources to plan an extraordinary event.”

The Fleet Week Houston Steering Committee is working closely with all partners, including local agencies, the Port of Houston, and military leadership, to determine a revised schedule and will announce the new dates when confirmed.

The City of Houston and the Steering Committee want to ensure our inaugural Fleet Week Houston is an outstanding experience that appropriately honors service members and deepens community-military connections.
