Ship Tours
No reservations are required, but visitors are required to join a queue to be assigned a time to enter the shuttle line.
Go Aboard:
All adults must present a valid government-issued ID (state ID card, driver’s license or passport) to take Navy ship tours. Non-US citizens must show valid passports and will be subject to a brief additional screening before boarding the vessels. Photocopies of IDs will not be accepted
Ship Tour Lines:
Before you board you will be assigned a time to get in line. More information on the queue process will be available soon.
Restrictions:
Visitors must be at least 5 years of age
– No strollers permitted on the ships
– Visitors must be able to walk unassisted without the aid of supporting devices for access to the vessels
– Visitors must be able to walk through tight spaces and up and down steep ladders
– No public restrooms are available aboard the ships, but will be on the dock
– Please wear closed-toed shoes. For your safety flip flops and high heels are strongly discouraged
– No pets allowed
– No banners, flags, political propaganda or the like is permitted
Yes, there are several restrictions that should be noted:
– Visitors must be at least five years of age to tour vessels.
– No strollers are permitted on the ship.
– Visitors must be able to walk unassisted without the aid of supporting devices for access on vessels; guests must be physically able to walk through tight spaces and up/down steep ladders.
– There are no public restrooms on vessels; restrooms are located on the dock.

ALL ship tour guests 18 years and older must show a government-issued ID card before boarding an active US Navy ship
Requirements for US Citizens
– Acceptable IDs for US Citizens include a valid driver’s license, passport, or other government–issued photo identification
– Paper copies or pictures of ID cards or passports are not accepted
Requirements for Non-U.S. Citizens
– Non-U.S. Citizens or anyone without legal permanent residence status must show a valid passport to board US Navy ships
– Non-U.S. Citizens will be fingerprinted and photographed while passing through security screening prior to boarding a US Navy ship
– Paper copies or pictures of ID cards or passports are not accepted

Veterans are welcome to tour active ships throughout the event. Reservations are not required. Visitors will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

General Info
We highly recommend comfortable and practical clothing, closed-toe shoes—no sandals or flip flops—on ship tours. Comfortable pants or shorts, and layers like a light jacket or sweater, sunscreen and hats are also recommended. You’ll likely be doing a lot of walking and potentially climbing onto ships, avoid heels, open-toed sandals, and heavy bags.

Photography is encouraged, but Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are strictly prohibited.
Yes, all persons must have U.S. government-issued identification (driver’s license, passport or government issued ID card) to enter event pavilions or ship tours. Those who plan to take a ship tour must have their ID to board – NO EXCEPTIONS! IDs are not required for children under 18 years of age when accompanied by an adult.

There are no tickets required for Fleet Week Houston though reservations may be required for certain events. Most events associated with Fleet Week Houston are free and open to the public. Please review the Events page for information on specific events.

No prior authorization is required to bring groups. We encourage groups to attend during the week to avoid crowds and large lines.
The following items are not permitted into the event footprint:
• NO LARGE BAGS of any kind, including oversized purses, backpacks, diaper bags or camera bags
• NO WEAPONS of any kind
• NO FOOD, DRINKS, COOLERS, or ICE CHESTS.Water will be for sale in the EXPO footprint; beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the ships, but beverages are NOT permitted on any active duty military vessel.
• NO PETS with the exception of seeing eye dogs.
• NO FIREWORKS, EXPLOSIVES, or FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
• NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER BLADES, SCOOTERS, or BICYCLES
• NO GANG-RELATED, VIOLENT, OBSCENE, EXPLICIT, or SUGGESTIVE CLOTHING, or CLOTHING THAT PROMOTES TERRORISM, ACTS OF • VIOLENCE or SUBJUGATION OF A PERSON or PERSONS
• NO ILLEGAL DRUGS or PARAPHERNALIA
• NO DRONES of any size

All persons entering the event will be subject to airport-style security screening, which includes metal detectors and bag search.

Support and participation of volunteers in all aspects of the event is greatly appreciated. We invite all Houstonians and the community in the greater Houston area 16 years old+ to apply for available positions.
